The Small Business Advisory Board was created in 2014 under the direction and vision of founder Vernon Stading. What began as simple educational lunches has grown into not only lunch and learns, but workshops, advisory board for hire services, and client matching services for investors and investees.
“I founded the Small Business Advisory Group of Minnesota because in my years of consulting business owners and doing business development to help them improve their operations and make more money, it was painfully clear to me that they needed to be surrounded by experts in many different fields. I am capable of advising on many subjects and topics but many issues require advice from professionals who work with only that topic day in and day out. I also began to see with my clients that many of them had key resources that didn’t perform well or were actually killing their business! No owner can afford to waste hard earned money on an expert that is hurting their business and the worst part is many owners are unaware that it was even happening. This occurs because they trust the professional that they hire and if you hire a bad individual, you get bad results. The idea then came to me that if I could assemble a group of professionals, experts in their field, that I would not only trust with my business, but trust with my reputation and my clients businesses, that it would be one of the most valuable tools that I can offer to my clients. It has taken me many years but I have found the best group of professionals in each industry and the Small Business Advisory Group was formed! We are a group of professionals that every business owner would love to have access to for advice and support whether they are a startup business or have been in business for over 20 years and everything in between. We have experience in literally every type of business and every type of industry imaginable. Please check out our directory of professionals and join us during one of our lunch meetings!” – Vernon Stading – Founder
