By now you probably heard about our new one of a kind “Business Health Check” but you might be wondering, “What could it possibly do for me?” The easiest way for us to answer that question is list some of the best things that we were able to identify and help fix for our clients following a simple health check! Here are some amazing things we have helped with so far in 2017:
- By completing our Health Check, we were able to find waste and losses in a business that was otherwise considered healthy because it was making a profit annually. Can you imagine the surprise the ownership got when we we found that they could be making almost $6 million more each year without spending any more money!!??
- By doing a simple Business Health Check for a company that was considered “stagnant” by ownership because they haven’t grown in 5 years, we discovered internal theft and embezzlement that had been going on for more than 3 years. The dollar amount totaled over $3 million and included two key staff members. I am almost 100% certain that without the health check this never would have been discovered due to the unique nature of the theft and the fact that more than one team member was involved.
- We did a Health Check in a retail company and by doing the basic cost and pricing analysis that is included, we figured out that they were leaving profit on the table with their best selling items. We helped them adjust their prices on that and several key others, and the adjustments should generate 25% more profit to the bottom line this year.
- We did the Health Check for a specialty retailer and jewelry that was trying to make more money. As part of the Health Check, we do a cost savings analysis. With that analysis, we were able find multiple ways to save them money on their bottom line WITHOUT cutting staff. This should translate to at least 5%-7% more profit in 2017! I think that anyone would say that these are all impressive but what about these findings as well:
- Found family business that had members in that business that were stealing and embezzling.
- Did an analysis that found out by hiring one single hourly employee that a business was able to “take off and grow like they always wanted” according to ownership.
- Found out that a high risk business didn’t have adequate business insurance and was able to suggest coverage that would protect them in a time of need and lower their risk and potential loss.
- We were able to define that a company was spending their marketing budget totally incorrectly costing them about $65,000 a month. Once we fixed their marketing and development plan, we were able to help them spend a lesser amount in marketing and advertising. In essence , their business grew by spending less money!
- We were able to help define what caused morale at work to suffer so much for one business. Their turnover is around 300% annually and we are certain that with the few changes we suggested that that can cut that number down to 100% or less in the first 12 months!
